How to Play

Select a minigame from the main menu. Press Space Bar from within any minigame to return to the main menu.

Matcher: Select two cat heads to swap them, match 3 in a row of the same color.

Collector: Use arrow keys to move the cat around to collect the coins and avoid the traps.

Catcher: Move mouse left-right to control the cat to collect the treats.

Finder: Find the cats and click on them!

Final

During the final phase of development for Greenlight Jam I tried to make each minigame feel as complete as I could and removed things that were not implemented or not working. There are still bugs! I plan to continue developing this game moving forward.

Production

During the production phase I created a rough version of the final minigame and integrated it with the main project. All minigames still have considerable work to be done during the final (polish) phase.

Prototype

This prototype is playable on Windows and was built for the second phase of Greenlight jam. Important Notes: press Space Bar from within any minigame to return to the main menu. The second minigame and the Zen mode are not yet implemented, and all 3 functioning minigames are "bare bones" without win or lose conditions.

Program/Language: Processing + Java

This game is created entirely with code - no art assets are used at this time.

Diversifiers

Greenlight diversifier #4: Everyone Can Play - this game is being created with color blindness and dyslexia in mind, with large / high-contrast fonts and patterns in addition to colors (ie. the match3 minigame the matching cats are not just matched by color but also by combination of whiskers/nose/eyes).

Documentation

The Brainstorm PDF document contains the results of brainstorming and ideating in the first spring of the Greenlight jam, plus a brief production plan and a one-page design document of the chosen idea (a collection of cat-themed minigames).
